Green lightsabers will yield extra health points when you defeat enemies and blue will recharge your force powers faster. For instance, the default red you begin with will cause more offensive damage. Changing the color of your lightsabers can provide tangible gameplay bonuses. Those saber crystals we just mentioned? Aside from making your lightsaber look all pretty in different shades cool, they have practical uses.
